We have developed a wearable pointing device ‘POINTING SHOES’ for mobile use. In our system, 2-axis acceleration sensor is attached to right foot to detect heel tap and tiptoe tap. And 8 pressure sensors are attached to left foot to detect the change of weighting point. Input gestures were determined by the analysis of the movement of feet which is recorded by a data logger. As a result, Pointing Shoes can be acquainted within 15 minutes. And whether you are standing or sitting, you can move cursor and click in equal efficiency. When you use Pointing Shoes with a keyboard, input efficiency was equal to use general pointing mouse with a keyboard.
