Flexible Micro Receiver for MRI

This study reports on a flexible micro receiver for a magnetic resonance (MR) catheter. The micro receiver consists of a micro coil of 3.8 µH and a micro capacitor of 0.81 nF. The micro coil and the micro capacitor fabricated on a glass wafer became flexible by etching the glass substrate wholly. This micro receiver was flexible enough to roll around the catheter. We built a simple nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) system to evaluate the flexible micro receiver. The simple NMR system can produce the static magnetic field of 45 mT. We confirmed that the NMR signal can be obtained by the simple NMR system.
